XtremeFest of the Blue Ridge ’08  is a one day festival taking place on May 17th in the heart of the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains. Our goal is to promote a healthy, active lifestyle by introducing festival goers to activities like rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, and hiking. The Waynesboro Department of Parks and Recreation has partnered with local outfitters to show you the area’s best spots to hit the trail, water or rock! Climb on the mobile climbing wall, kayak the South River, marvel at the high flying BMX stunt show, register for huge giveaways and enjoy great food and fun for the whole family. If you want to take full advantage of this beautiful region’s many adventure sports opportunities, then mark XtremeFest of the Blue Ridge on your calendars: Saturday, May 17th - 10 AM to 5 PM, at Ridgeview Park in Waynesboro.
